Online Clinical Supervision That Works For You

ThinkDuncan / Clinical Supervision
Developing your practice

Your space to think... wherever you are.

Supervision that is reflective, relational and grounded in your practice.

Online clinical supervision offers a dedicated space to step back, reflect, and make sense of your work with clients, wherever you are based. Through a supportive and collaborative relationship, we can explore the challenges, questions, and uncertainties that come with being a counsellor, helping you to develop confidence, deepen your self-awareness, and find your way forward.

Good supervision isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about having space to think…

How We Work

Bring the questions you can’t always answer. alone.

Client work doesn’t always go to plan. You might feel stuck, question your responses to a client, face an ethical dilemma, or find that a session has stayed with you long after it ended.

Clinical supervision gives you an opportunity to explore these experiences without needing to arrive with a neat explanation or ready-made solution. We can look at what is happening in your work, consider perspectives, and identify what you need to move forward with clarity and confidence.

You don’t have to have all the right answers…

Who I Work With

Supervision that fits around your practice.

Online clinical supervision is delivered through a secure Zoom link, allowing us to work  wherever you are based.

Confidentiality means we can discuss client issues, explore professionals and consider what you might need from Supervision.  We can talk openly, think together and explore your work at a pace that feels useful to you.

Good supervision isn’t defined by sharing a room; it is shaped by the quality of the relationship and the work we do together.

The right space, the right relationship and the freedom to think differently…

The Aim

Supervision that gives you the freedom to explore.

Supervision works best when you’re able to speak honestly about your practice, including the moments that leave you uncertain, uncomfortable or questioning yourself. That takes a relationship built on trust, respect and openness.

My approach is collaborative rather than prescriptive. I won’t expect you to follow my way of working, or offer ready-made solutions. Instead, we’ll explore your experiences together, consider different perspectives and pay attention to what feels important for you, your clients and your professional development.

Developing your practice

Ethical, thoughtful and responsible practice.

Supervision rarely comes with a simple answer to every situation. Questions about boundaries, confidentiality, risk, professional responsibilities or the needs of a particular client can leave you weighing up different perspectives.

At ThinkDuncan, I offer a space to examine these questions carefully, while considering responsibilities, reflection and reasoning. Add to this mix, professional and ethical guidance, to help you consider the circumstances and nuances of the client and wider context which gives you a wider frame of perspective.

Ethical practice is about willing to pause, reflect and consider the work you are part of…

The Aim

Supervision when working alone

Whether you’ve been practising for years or are finding your feet as a trainee, supervision should offer a space that responds to where you are now.

You might be building confidence with clients, navigating the realities of independent practice, revisiting familiar challenges, or looking for fresh perspectives on work that has become difficult to untangle. Whatever your experience, you deserve supervision that takes your questions seriously and recognises the person behind the professional role.

Your experience may change over time, but having somewhere to think, reflect, and develop remains important…

Developing your practice

A thoughtful approach, grounded in experience.

My work brings together counselling, clinical supervision, and teaching, giving me an appreciation of both the realities of client work and the challenges of developing as a practitioner.

I believe supervision should be a place where curiosity is welcomed, assumptions can be explored, and different perspectives are considered without judgement. Rather than simply reviewing what happened in a session, we can look more closely at the relationship, the choices you made, and what your responses might be telling you about the work.

My aim is to help you strengthen your own reflective practice, develop confidence in your professional judgement, and remain connected to what matters in your work with clients.

The Aim

Could online supervision be right for you?

Finding the right supervisor matters. You need someone you can talk openly with, who will take your work seriously and give you space to reflect without feeling that you have to prove yourself.

If you’re looking for online clinical supervision, we can start with a conversation about your practice, what you’re looking for in supervision, and whether my approach feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to make a commitment before you’ve had the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together.

Developing your practice

Online clinical supervision for private practice counsellors

Private practice gives counsellors a considerable degree of independence, but independence doesn’t have to mean working things out alone.

Clinical supervision provides a regular opportunity to pause, reflect and consider the work from another perspective.

For some counsellors, that might mean working through a complex clinical situation. For others, it might mean developing professional confidence, thinking about boundaries or making sense of how their practice is evolving.

The aim isn’t to scrutinise your decisions or tell you how to work, It’s to create space to think.
